Santa Clarita Radiation Therapy Center Participates in American Cancer Society's, Relay for Life 2006

On Saturday June 3rd 2006, Vantage Oncology proudly joined the American Cancer Society as Platinum Sponsor of the annual fundraiser the “Relay for Life.” This event honors the caregivers, patients and survivors of cancer and helps raise money for research and programs.

As Vantage Oncology Santa Clarita Radiation Therapy Center Medical Director and Co-Chairman of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Cancer Committee, Dr. Robert Zimmerman answered questions about radiation treatment and the advanced technology available at Vantages sites for hundreds of participants. Dr. Zimmerman said, “Relay for Life enables us to not only help raise money for the cancer community, but provides a forum to educate participants and connect with patients and family members outside of the office as part of the cancer continuum of care.”

Over $400,000 was raised in this 24 hour event!  Vantage Oncology looks forward to many years of continued partnership with the American Cancer Society.
